I am going
to go out on a limb here and presume that you have no idea what vitamin N is. Am I right?
You may have
never heard of vitamin N before, but it is vitally important for your
health. You need adequate vitamin N for
healthy functioning of the immune system, emotional and physical resilience,
strong elastic nervous system function, optimum energy production, and healthy
growth and development just to name a few areas. In essence, every part of you requires a
regular intake of vitamin N for normal, robust healthy function.
You can’t
store vitamin N for great lengths of time so regular intake is absolutely
necessary to maintain optimum levels.
Vitamin N
deficiency can lead to insomnia, muscle tension, general feelings of worry/
stress and anxiety, feeling overwhelmed or unsafe, a need to
control or hold onto things, increased susceptibility to inflammation and all
kinds of illness, or just an overriding need to do.
It is about
now in this post, that you my dear reader are probably thinking that you might
be deficient in this essential vitamin.
‘I need that!’ Well, actually, yes
you do. We all do. “So how do we get it?” I hear you ask in my
imagination.
Well, the N
in vitamin N stands for Nature.
What! Vitamin N can be sourced
naturally, in abundance, from all around us.
No need to buy expensive pills, or indeed to actually spend any money at
all. You can access inexhaustible
quantities of vitamin N just by standing on some grass or dirt or sand or rocks
or water and getting your naked feet in there.
That’s right, vitamin N is all about connecting your body with nature,
the earth, the ground, whatever you want to call it.
Have you ever
taken a stroll along the beach, a dip in the ocean, or a walk in the forest and
just felt refreshed and invigorated afterwards? That’s vitamin N. Why is it we spend weekends and holidays
escaping to the beach, the bush, forests, and lakes and rivers? Unconsciously or consciously we are drawn to
activities which fill us up with vitamin N because we feel better for it; it
resets the inner pendulum.
As we begin
2015, many people set resolutions or intentions for the new year. Why not make regular vitamin N intake one of
yours for 2015? Next time you head out
into your backyard, leave your shoes off and feel the earth beneath your
feet. Find a nice patch of grass in the
shade and have a lie down. Or do some gardening, put your feet in some water, a
creek, a river. Whatever it is do it
often and with regularity. After all,
nature is the cheapest and most accessible therapy there is.
